Good pirates concept

The Good Pirates We Are!

The Good Pirates are  volunteers action teams who help life improvement in island communities. For the time being they focus their operations in the Aegean Sea, but have a vision to expand in Archipelaga all around the world. Their first landing was in the  island of Mykonos.

The 21 Pirates of Mykonos have Captain Mermelehas as their iconic team leader.

They promote the 17 Sustainability Development Goals of the United Nations and adhere to the Good Country principles.

Our agenda is threefold:

Environmental protection.

Local culture enhancement.

Education of both kids and adults.

More About Us

They concentrate on helping  preserve lighthouses, kaikia and maritime museums.

They create their own clothing and accessories by recycled and environmental friendly materials.

They organize "plastic hunting expeditions".

They are a totally free community, independent of business interests and obey only their Captain and their Code.

The Good Pirates impose "culture taxes" on communities that do not promote children's theatrical plays, treasure hunts and painting exhibitions.

They fight against illegal fishing practices, water pollution and toxic wastes.

Their treasure boxes are hidden in their adopted pristine beaches.

Once a year, they invade peacefully their own Chora, in order to capture new recruits for their crew and promote their goals.

Whoever resists -usually none- is offered free shots of their own "Thalassi" drink, a secret recipe based on salt water and sea ingredients.
